The harbour is good, safe, well protected - width of entrance 1200 meters, depth at entrance from 25 to 30 meters (82' to 98') and at quays or berths from 8 to 8,50 meters (26' to 28').
For loading/unloading of goods (polyethylene, ryblene, caustic soda, wood, magnesite, boxes, bundles, iron, cement, fertilizers, wheat etc.), there are five quays (Molo S.Antonio).

Quay n.2 - meters 145 max draft m. 8,20
Quay n.3 - meters 210 max draft m. 8,30
Quay n.4 - meters 194 max draft m. 6,30
Quay n.5 - meters 135 max draft m. 5
There is also a little pier called Molo Zanagora, available for small vessels which not effect commercial operation. |

In the port of Syracuse there are good harbour facilities for all operations concerning loading/unloading material. Between the quay n.1, 2 and 3 there is a big warehouse used as a deposit of Various Goods under management of Local Chambre of Commerce which has covered surface of 1550 square meters.
There is also a wheat Silos having a surface of 1300 square meters and a capacity of about 50.000 Tons.
Bunker: Delivery by truck or at anchor (bunkerbarge coming from Augusta).
Water: It is possible to take water in all the quays.
Purging: Is possible.
