A season full of women. Sophocles’ Electra, Alcestis of Euripides and Seneca’s Phaedra are the three works that will be part of the fifty-second cycle of classical performances at the Greek Theatre. The choice of the new board of directors of Inda Foundation, chaired by Giancarlo Garozzo, was announced on the day of the 2015 season debut with the aim of immediately start promoting the program planned for 2016. The fifty-second cycle of shows classics would thus be characterized by three tragedies.
The text of Sophocles, already staged in 1956, in 1970 and 1990, and the work of Euripides, staged in 1992, will be held from 13 May to 19 June 2016. The novelty will instead be the tragedy of Seneca, on stage at the Greek Theatre June 23 to 26 and then go on tour in the most important ancient theaters.
